About this place
One diner enjoyed a tart piled with strawberries and topped with lightly sweetened cream. The pastry was soft enough for a fork to slip through easily, they said—a good choice when you want the fruit to take centre stage. The menu at TARTE & LOVE CAFE also lists mixed citrus, blueberry, caramel nut, fresh chocolate and Japanese chestnut Mont Blanc tarts. Prices range from 550 yen for chocolate banana to 890 yen for the Japanese chestnut Mont Blanc. Deciding between fruit, nuts or chocolate while looking over the display is part of the pleasure.
Another customer described the strawberry tart as light, with tangy strawberries and cheese cream set against a fragrant crust. Caramel nut was another choice reported by a diner; pairing a favourite tart with coffee or a cappuccino makes for an easy pause.
Tarts are not the only option: one customer enjoyed a low-carbohydrate gateau chocolat with a café latte. There is seating for dining in, and free Wi-Fi is available, making the café an option for a break between shops. On Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, it stays open until 23:00, so you can also stop in for dessert after dinner.
